NSYSU possesses the only Aerosol Science Research Center for PM2.5 in Asia and established the only overseas Taiwanese scientific research center in Sri Lanka to study topics regarding climate change and oceanography. As the engine driving academic, cultural, talent training, and industrial development in Kaohsiung, NSYSU has focused on the development of emerging focal research groups. These include the research and development of manned underwater vehicles, aquaculture using smart technology, information safety, biomimicry, marine engineering, and marine ecology conservation.
