KKP Regional 100-Year International Carnival

KKP Regional Resource Center organizes "KKP Regional 100-Year International Carnival" to drive the internationalization to the regional universities by bringing up interaction between International student and local student through the event. Activity site will display and sell international cuisine and cultural performances, so that visitors can understand the differences of culture in other countries in order to promote international cultural exchange.

I. Event Organizers:

    (1) Instructor Ministry of Education - Department of Higher Education
    (2) Host KKP Regional Resource Center for Teaching and Learning
    (3) Organizer National Sun Yat-sen University - Office of International Affair
    (4) Co-organizer National Pingtung University of Education, National University of Kaohsiung, I-Shou University, National Kaohsiung Normal University, Kaohsiung Medical University, National Taitung University

II. Activities:

    (1) International Food Exhibition and Sales
    Provides international cuisines daily along with food posters to introduce visitors how to make the cuisines and what food materials needed to let the visitors experience culinary culture from different countries, and also to understand the characteristics and culture of various countries through the introduction from international students.
    (2) Cultural Performances
    Collection of multi-nations cultural performances, including traditional dance and unique characteristics dance performances.
III. Activities Date:
    2nd to 6th May 2011
    (1) International Cuisine, every day from 10:00 to 14:00
    (2) Cultural performances, 4th May 12:00 to 13:30
IV. Location:
    Courtyard (Welsh) Cafe behind National Sun Yat Sen University Administration Building
V. Carnival Stand and Performance Applications
    (1) Subject
    International and Taiwanese students of Co-sponsored universities (International students will be prioritized).
    (2) Carnival Stands Content
    International cuisine, each university can apply upto 2 stands.
    (3) Performance
    Each university need to provide an international culture-related performances around 5 to 10 minutes.

VI. Support:
    (A) Cuisine stand
    NT 500 per stand per day
    (B) Performance
    NT 250 per person of performing students, each university can apply maximum 10 persons.
    (C) Transportation
    On Cultural Performance day (4th May), Non-Kaohsiung area universities that come to NSYSU with charter bus will get whole support based on the bus-charter expense, 40 person per vehicle.
